NC Foreclosure Defense Attorney

Foreclosure Defense Attorneys are not very plentiful. This is why you see numerous out of state law firms and other scams that prey on North Carolina consumers. Harry Marsh spends 90% of his legal career defending foreclosures. A proper defense of a foreclosure is something that can take months or years. It requires knowledge of a broad array of practice areas. To properly counsel you regarding your foreclosure, an Attorney should be well versed in not only bankruptcy and real estate law, but tax law and estate planning. Additionally, foreclosure defense is time intensive. There is sometimes no shortcut to spending 4 hours on the phone with your bank/lender. Harry Marsh has built his firm around this practice. He has dealt with 1000's of mortgage cases and has negotiated with nearly every lender. He knows the process (which may vary with each lender) and knows the law. Call Harry Marsh Law before you turn to an out of state law firm, a local bankruptcy attorney or realtor.

There are a number of ‘tools’ that Harry Marsh uses. Every conversation with the bank is recorded. Every fax sent to the bank is logged, recorded and tracked. Harry Marsh or his staff will walk you through how to fill out each of the required documents, with an eye toward the approval of your loan modification. We have seen hundreds of problems, errors and shortcuts through the process. Let my experience work for you!

We will defend your case and make sure you get every possible opportunity to save your home. Harry Marsh is the attorney of record, defending multiple foreclosures each week in North Carolina. He has the knowledge gained over the course of years and the experience from having worked with most lending institutions.

Loan Modifications

A loan modification is one of the best results that you can hope to achieve when you find yourself behind in your mortgage. Depending on a number of ratios, factors and circumstances, the past due amount that you owe on the mortgage is added to the back end of your loan. You make a payment close to your original mortgage payment (sometimes lower, depending on your interest rate, etc) and are eventually considered ‘current’ for purposes of your mortgage.

Short Sales

A ‘Short Sale’ is what the real estate world commonly calls the sale of a property for less than what is owed on any liens, mortgages or other encumbrances. That means that you will sell the property for less than what you owe, but in most cases you will avoid foreclosure.
